Old school friends Simon Baxter and Phil Passera began making music along long time ago. Working through various and styles of music, they settled on the funked up style that they describe as 'a mixed grill'.

Their first release came out in September 98, on their own 'Crime Club' label, titled 'The First Offence' . This record also showcased another two acts from the south coast 'The Lionrugs' and 'The Rockery'.

The record suprized many with its diverse representation of styles, going down well particularly well in the DJ sector, with the funk fuelled Kitty Bronx track 'Solid Feet' becoming an underground favourite in the clubs of London, Brighton and Manchester.

The positive response to this record lead to Kitty Bronx signing a deal with London based dance label Junior Boy's Own. The first results of this collaboration will be released in September 99 . A six track E.P. entitled 'Looking for a Bat' is sure to continue where 'The First Offence' left off. The track 'Solid Feet' will be appearing on a DJ Kicks album mixed by the Stereo MC's, due out late 1999 on the 'Studio K7' label.
